Akhand Jyoti Sansthan
Akhand Jyoti Sansthan is situated in Ghiyamandi area of Mathura, which is a city of Uttar Pradesh State of India. Gurudev Pandit ShriRam Sharma Aacharyaji started living here with limited resources and with the Akhand Deepak (uninterruptedly lighted lamp). From here only, gradually the relationship of love and intimacy as well as the revolutionary thinking started spreading to common people.
This was mainly accomplished by the monthly magazine 'Akhand Jyoti', that had been started earlier by Gurudev, when he used to live in Agra. Through personal letters that were touching the inner consciousness of people, Gurudev initiated the seed for a great establishment. Here many anguished and stressful people came in contact with Gurudev and got new living force in their lives. They got food and Prashad from Param Vandaniya Mataji and Gurudev, thereby becoming subsequently like family members of Mataji and Gurudev.
The 'Akhand Jyoti' magazine was printed by small leg operated machines on manually prepared papers. In the nearby small room, the Akhand Deepak was kept lighted. At this place, today the room for worshipping is made. The whole building is bought and given a new outlook as well as being strongly supported now. However, this small room has been kept from inside the same as it was used to be in the Gurudev's period of 1942-43. From 1942-43 till 1973, Gurudev did Sadhana as well as writing in these two rooms of the mansion of Ghiyamandi with a deep penance. The 24 Mahapurasharans were completed by Gurudev here.
Gurudev was preparing and editing 'Akhand Jyoti' as well as 'Yug Nirman Yojana' magazines from here. The readers of these magazines used to write back letters to Gurudev. Daily, Vandaniya Mataji used to read these letters to Gurudev and Gurudev used to reply back those letters. In this way, gradually one family was created of those readers and Sadhaks. In Gurudev's mind, the thought of building the Gayatri Pariwar came here. The activities of expansion and publicity continuously increased from here.
Gurudev in addition to the daily Sadhana used to engage in the Sahana of writing. Gurudev even was not taking water till the aimed matter appropriate for printing was not written by him. As a result of this great Sadhana, the complete Arsha Sahitya i.e. Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Darshan, Gayatri Sahitya were created here. In this establishment's every small bits and pieces one can experience Gurudev's prevailing consciousness. Though outer appearance might have been changed but once we enter inside, we can personally experience the vibrations of living consciousness of Gurudev and Mataji. Gurudev's whole thinking in the form of Vangmaya (Literature) is being published from here.
